Conference style meeting

Keeping safe at Bodmin Chamber events

We will always run our meetings and events in line with the current guidance from the Government.  We will review the statements below whenever the government change the status of COVID-19 alertness.

Using appropriate venues and tools

When we organise face-to-face events, will work with  venue management to ensure that capacity limits, ventilation, social distancing and other measures are applied properly.  We will make clear on event details whether any specific measures are required so that attendees can be fully prepared.

When necessary, we will use on-line conferencing tools such as Zoom to ensure that we keep the community engaged and safe.

Remote meeting
Wear a face-covering

Wear a face-covering whenever able

We ask everyone, who are able, to wear a face covering whilst attending a Bodmin Chamber event.  Those speaking at an event may remove their face-covering whilst presenting, answering questions or commenting – especially so if there are any persons present which rely on lip-reading.

The appropriate guidance (above) will be applied according to the event.  Venue operators can enforce their own measures by which all attendees will abide.

If in any doubt about your health, stay at home

We trust our members and guest to act responsibly about their health and the well-being of other event attendees.  If you are not feeling well or have one or more of the commons symptoms of COVID-19, which include

  • a new continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell,

stay at home, get tested and self-isolate until you have negative test results.

Social Distancing
Get vaccinated

Get, and stay, fully vaccinated

Obviously we can’t insist anyone must get a double vaccination and booster, but we do reserve the right to utilise the NHS COVID Passport as a requirement to enter an event.  We fully support the Governments vaccination programmes and would encourage all members of the community gets this invaluable protection.
